Leaves are falling off the trees, the weather is cooling down, and the herds are preparing for winter. Rains and showers are frequent, as are strong winds and the occasional half-hour of snow.
Broken Shadows Broken Shadows is a land of contrasts. Ancient oaks create a shadowed forest of pure darkness, dead leaves crackling and snapping and the trees creaking threateningly at any who enter through their trunks. If one stays out of this forest, however, they find themselves in a dream of pure grass made golden by sunlight, and a brisk breeze that keeps the heat from becoming insufferable. It can be said that this land resembles its master in the best sense, for here reigns a chieftain who comes from a faraway land, and a complicated past. One cannot be sure when they enter whether they will be welcomed...or broken.
Zion A pine forest covers around a third of this territory. The rest is filled with heather, bracken and gorse. The forest is dense, dark and sheltered, with several small streams which rarely dry up. There are several small rock cliffs and caves around, which can be good fun for cubs to explore, as long as they are careful. These places sometimes home predators such as wolves and bears. Outside the forest is a wild moorland, a sea of heather and gorse, in the centre of which is a small lake. The lake is a perfect place for a drink and a rest; the heather thins out around it, leaving a sandy shore bathed in sunlight.
